Dear Samplemodeling Friends, we are pleased to announce the release of version 2.0.4 of Solo, Chamber & Ensemble Strings, featuring important improvements and bug fixes to enhance performance and realism. It’s available for purchase, or as a free update to all owners of earlier versions of Solo, Chamber & Ensemble Strings.
What's new in v2.0.4
- NKS integration (“Native Kontrol Standard”).
- Enhanced Marcato/Staccato attacks under control of CC38 at high velocities.
- New Cello body impulse responses, correcting some harmonic defects.
- Installation via Native Access. As of this update, SM Strings installations and updates are managed directly through Native Access, with an easier and faster access.
Bug fixes
- Occasional incorrect reading of bichords as legato notes.
- Faulty tremolo speed control (CC19) and attack type (CC38) when using the mouse directly on the GUI.
- Faulty pitchbend mapping in solo instruments v2.0.3.
How to update:
- Open Native Access and go to Updates, or find "Solo and Ensemble Strings" in the Library menu und choose the Update option in the "..." menu.
- Before updating, we recommend to check your Content Location settings in Native Access Preferences -> File Management, to install the Strings in your preferred location.
Important note:
Even though the title on Native Instruments pages and in Native Access is “Solo and Ensemble Strings”, which is the original title of the very first version, the downloadable product also includes Chamber Strings.
